Day 1 : HANOI – MAI CHAU
7:00 - 7:20: Our Limousine picks you up at your hotel and start the trip to Mai Chau. You will have a stop in Thung Khe Pass for a spectacular view of Mai Chau Valley. During the stop, you can see the local stands selling typical products. Take a chance to try one of the local specialties, the “Com Lam”, sticky rice cooked in bamboo. Arrival in Mai Chau which is considered the capital of the Thai people. Check in and have lunch in the traditional house on stilts with specialties of the Northwest mountains. Take a small rest to relax by the pool or a quick walk in the narrow alleys to admire the local life.
Start the cycling tour to discover the beautiful Mai Chau valley. You will pass through fields and villages and get the opportunity to discover more about the unique cultural activities of the White Thai ethnic group. Take a break to visit brocade production facilities made by locals. You are welcome to visit the local market and to buy souvenirs from this unique place. Back to homestay & free time to relax, you can walk around in the narrow alleys around the homestay. Diner and peaceful night in the homestay.
Day 2 : MAI CHAU - NA MEO - BAO LA - CUN PHEO - HANG KIA - TA DE
08:00: Early breakfast to be ready for the amazing day coming.
09:00: We start our motorbike trip with the first 30 km riding on a narrow winding road on the side of the mountain leading you through the Thai villages of Na Meo, Cun Pheo, Bao La. Those villages are remote communes of Mai Châu but it has rich and intertwined cultural traditions of many ethnic groups living together in the area. That cultural feature creates a blend between the common and the specific of the community's culture and also creates the uniqueness of the people here.
Continue the next 20 km journey past the mountain about 1,200 m above sea level, you will come to Hang Kia and Pa Co - We call this place little Ha Giang because the scenery and people here are very similar to Hà giang. Looking down from above, within sight is the green color of the mountains and forests, the rooftops of Mong people's houses looming in the misty space.
The landscape here always inspires photographers. From the small winding road, narrow turns to the tea hills, stone fences, and bright yellow mustard flowers embracing the space in front of each porch. Going deeper into the village, we still see Mong women diligently embroidering, and children laughing and playing mischievously. Even the piles of firewood stacked in the middle of the yard and the thin smoke rising from the roof of the kitchen are enough to make visitors leave the noise and worries behind to enjoy a different feeling of peace.
12:00: We will stop for lunch at a local family to enjoy traditional home-cooked dishes of the Hmong people.
After lunch and rest, we will start another route to return to the homestay. On the way, we will also visit Phu Mau hot springs, stopping to admire the beautiful blue lake before returning to the homestay to rest and have dinner.
After dinner, depending on the size of the tour (from 5 guests or more) we will organize music performances from Thai ethnic people .
Day 3 : TREKKING SAM PA & TÒNG ĐẬU - HA NOI
08:00: Early breakfast to be ready for the amazing day coming. Board the electric car to reach the Trekking Point.
09:00: We will start to trek along dirt and concrete paths to explore the minority villages of Pieng Phung , Na Cut and Sam Pa. Our 4 - 5 km walk will take us past the rice paddies, seeing people working the fields with their buffalo framed by scenic mountain landscapes with the occasional stop to talk to the friendly locals.
Next route we will trek through the green forest, at the end you will see green bamboo bushes leading to Tong Dau village, a beautiful village with traditional Thai stilt houses. Stop at a local house, have some tea and chat with local people to know more about their daily life and cultures.
After relax the electric car will pick you up back to Tân homestay
12:00 - 12:30: At the end of the trek, our transport will be waiting to take us back to Tan Mai Chau to enjoy local food for lunch.
Finally, enjoy some free time to relax and walk around the homestay, admire the fields last time before departure.
14:00: You then get on the Limousine for the transfer back to Hanoi.
18:00: The limousine drops you off at your hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter.
